"The purposes of the DLO POU VIV is to drill water wells and/or
rudimentary play pumps near elementary schools, orphanages and community
centers in areas of
Haiti
that have been most effected by the earthquake and recent cholera
outbreaks. In addition to provide training to community residents with
respect to maintaining water wells and/or rudimentary play pumps. We
also plan to raise awareness regarding clean water, sanitation,
recycling, waste management and hygiene by undertaking public awareness
campaigns and providing information and training."
